PROCESSING OF COFFEE BEANS AND MANIPULATION OF COFFEE PODS

The wet method includes the separation of the coffee beans by the floatation technique, The overripe coffee beans, and underdeveloped coffee beans are floated in the water while the ripened coffee beans are sunk In dry methodology, there is a separation of the floaters and sinkers. After separation, the coffee beans are mostly cleaned by sieving. This can be done manually or mechanically.
  • After the separation, the coffee beans are dried and further processed. The dried technology of the coffee beans includes the dry process, wet process, and semidry process.
  • In the dry technique procedure, the freshly picked coffee beans are spread in the sunlight for proper aeration. They remain spread in the morning and covered at the night to prevent them from getting cold. This procedure is repeated until all the coffee beans got dry.
  • In the wet process, the pulping machine has mostly manipulated that manoeuver the peel of the coffee cherries. Once it is peeled, these are placed in the air to keep dry. The wet process is concerned with the balanced flavour, and fruit acidity.
  • In the semidry technique, the peel of the coffee beans is removed by mechanical grinding. For one day, the coffee beans are keep placed in the mucilage. The next day, it is washed, and keep them in sunlight to dry it.
  • The next step involves hulling and polishing. After polishing it is roasted and ready for packaging.

Coffee Pods:

The standardized coffee pods may carry 7 to 12 grams of coffee that make a strong, and bold coffee. The coffee pods are installed at the automatic coffee maker machine. These are referred to as a pressurized brewer while the lighter weight coffee pods that may contain grounded coffee 7-8 grams can easily mix with the water.
